200 Hour Teacher Training
Do you have a desire to empower others, educate yourself and your students and show up more authentically in life?

Join Julie Worden, Chris Morehead & other Yoga Story instructors for our 2022 Yoga Teacher Training!

Julie is a 500 RYT yoga teacher and teaches hot flow, slow flow, sculpt & flow and kids/tween yoga.  She has been the studio's manager for 6 years and is now the studio's program director.  She loves anything fitness, hiking with my dog, reading, gardening, baking, hanging out at the lake and spending time with her husband and adult children. In her adult classes, students will experience a powerful vinyasa flow with fun and playful sequences designed to strengthen the body and mind. You will sweat and she will challenge you to see what's possible.  In her kids and tween classes, she likes to have fun with themes while introducing yogic concepts at an age appropriate level.

Chris is a 500 hour ERYT & teaches hot flow & slow flow.  He is trained in the circus arts and contortionism.  His classes are purposeful & engaging with skillful instruction.  Chris loves animals and has a small farm!  He's a highly trained yogi that has recently written a 300 hour training for established yoga teachers to take their practice to the next level. Chris's class will create length in your body and connection to your soul.  As one student put it, "he makes me feel my feelings! And I love it."  His classes may be challenging but his expertise makes them accessible to all.

Next training starts March 2023

Our curriculum is well-rounded, offering a scope of information that will guide you on your path to becoming a teacher, or to advance your individual practice. We utilize Light on Yoga by B.K.S Iyengar, as well as the strengths of our teachers to lead the various modules of asana, pranayama, subtle body and meditation.  Our signature style is vinyasa, but you will experience several different styles of yoga.

Discover your presence and connection to teaching through working the physical body. In addition to asana and pranayama, we dive deep into Anatomy & Physiology, biomechanics of movement and hands-on assisting.  Our program utilizes the books Breath by James Nestor, Yoga Anatomy by Leslie Kaminoff and The Anatomy of Movement by Blandine Calais-Germain.

You will learn yoga looks different in every body, and safe ways to modify it for different populations. Our training also covers athletes, beginners, information on kids yoga and prenatal yoga.

Keeping with the traditional origins of yoga, we study the philosophy of yoga with Yama’s and Niyamas by Deborah Adele and The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Sri Swamni Satchidananda.  We dive deep into the ancient text The Bhagavad Gita, and other historical teachings of this sacred practice.  Our experienced staff and guest speakers will share their knowledge of business ethics and professional development.
